Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information OurCalc handles when you use the site. It is written to match how the site works today.

Values you enter into calculators

Calculations are performed in your web browser. The numbers, dates and other values you type into a calculator are not sent to our servers and are not stored by us.

Share links

If you use “Copy share link”, your calculator values are placed in the address (query string) of that link. Anyone you give the link to can see those values. We do not receive or keep the link unless it is opened by someone visiting the site, in which case it is handled like any other page request.

Accounts and cookies

The site has no user accounts and does not require you to provide personal information. It sets no cookies of its own. The only cookies come from Google Analytics, and only if you accept them (see below).

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may keep standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time of the request, for security and to keep the service running.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and calculators are used, so we can improve them. When you choose “Accept” in the cookie notice, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you view, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. If you choose “Decline”, cookies are not stored and only limited, cookieless measurement is used.

The values you type into calculators are never sent to Google Analytics, and the query string of the page address (which holds them in a shared link) is removed before any data is sent. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising features or ad personalisation.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which shows the notice again. Google processes analytics data under its own privacy policy. The site does not currently show advertising.

Third-party links

The site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
